From inspiration to quilt.. (..Top!)

I couldn't resist uploading a couple of quick photos of (one of) my Works-In-Progress!  It's big, so I'm going to have fun (note the sarcasm) trying to find a place big enough to baste it, but I'll manage.  I hope...

This pattern was the inspiration for it.  (From the magazine: Quick Quilts #31.)  I doubled the size of the blocks, (from 4" to 8") left out the separating strips, changed the colors, rotated the blocks, gave it three borders...

So yes, I have changed it quite a bit.  πŸ˜…

My mother loves all things citrus, so I couldn't resist!  😊

I must say that borders are a glorious way to quickly increase the size of your quilt without making fifty-plus extra blocks, but I digress.

I had rather a lot of fun twisting and turning the blocks for the most visual appeal.  Perhaps I'll even add some cute little buttons to the centers of the big white spaces, but I haven't decided that for sure yet.
